Attending graduate school is an investment in your future and your faith. The generosity of individual donors and churches helps students receive quality education at a cost much less than charged by many other institutions. ACTS strives to help every student receive the education and personal edification he/she desires.
Students enrolling with ACTS are subject to the following tuition & fees. Educational costs are charged based on enrollment load each term.
The Readmission Fee is treated as an “Application/Registration Fee” for refund purposes (see Cancellation/Withdrawal Policy). The Payment Plan Fee is refundable if a student cancels/withdraws from their enrollment prior to the term start date. The Official Transcript Fee is nonrefundable once the transcript is issued.
Discounts
M.T.S. students who enroll in three courses in any given term are charged a discounted rate of $200 per semester credit hour for that term. To earn this discount, students must be enrolled in three courses by the add/drop deadline. If students initially enroll for three courses and then drop to two or one courses, their tuition will be adjusted to the full $266.67 per semester credit hour rate.
All tuition is payable in full by the first day of classes each semester. Students may be dropped from their courses if they fail to pay the amount due to the account by the end of the Add/Drop period. Students are not provided a discount for bulk payments for future semesters. Payment method options are available in the Catalog and can be discussed with the Finance Department.
PAYMENT PLAN
All students in good academic standing are eligible to apply for a payment plan (4 payments during the semester). Email your request to finance@actslibrary.org. Students are charged a payment plan administrative fee of $50 per semester. Students are not charged interest.
PAYMENT PLAN PROCESS
The first payment of the payment plan is due immediately when the plan is set up. The 1st payment will include the following invoice charges:
Technology fee ($50)
Library fee ($70)
Administrative fee ($50)
25% of the tuition due for registered classes
Subsequent payments will be due every 30 calendar days until balance is paid in full. If you fail to pay without consulting administration, your course(s) could be dropped.
Cancellation/Withdrawal PoliCY
Students who cancel their enrollment within five (5) calendar days after signing the enrollment agreement will receive a full refund, including the application/registration fee and any other tuition or fees paid. Students who withdraw more than five days after signing the enrollment agreement, through the start of the semester, will receive a full refund of all tuition and fees paid, minus the application/registration fee. After the semester has begun, withdrawal is subject to the institution’s refund policy.
Students must convey their cancellation or withdrawal by contacting either registrar@acts.school or finance@acts.school via email. Any money due to students will be refunded within 30 days of withdrawal.

Hybrid Course and Study Abroad Costs and Refund Information
Students who participate in hybrid courses at the Newport Beach facility are responsible to pay for their own travel expenses and are responsible to identifying their own housing. The total cost and applicable refund policy for study abroad courses will be disclosed for student approval prior to incurring any charges. Typically, tuition and technology fees for a study aboard semester are refundable prior to the trip beginning, but any deposit paid as well as costs already expended for travel, lodging, and experiences may be non-refundable.
Santa Verena Charity has established the Pope Shenouda III International Scholarship available through St. Athanasius and St. Cyril Coptic Orthodox Theological School to those who are living outside of North America, and are in need of sponsorship assistance. Through this scholarship, funds are made available each year in the form of full and partial scholarships.
While the majority of tuition may be funded by this scholarship, students will still be responsible for paying semester-based fees (see above) and book expenses. Students who receive partial scholarships will be responsible for the other portion of tuition payment, which is due at the beginning of each enrolled semester.
Existing and new students are eligible to apply. New students will need to complete all admissions requirements for their program prior to scholarship application approval. Students who are accepted must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress throughout their entire time with ACTS to maintain their scholarship. See our Catalog for more details.
Each student who receives a scholarship will be required to write one short article for the monthly Santa Verena Newsletter and ACTS’ bi-annual newsletter to reflect on their experience as a student of ACTS who is studying abroad. Students from a country where Santa Verena Charity is running a program will be invited to participate in these services as a practical manifestation of their theological education.

Recipients of this award demonstrate potential for further study in theology and are committed to the discipline of theology as a means of transformation for our world. To be considered for this award, applicants must apply for the MTS program, must have at least a 3.8 undergraduate CGPA, and some significant theology or philosophy study.
